Everything You Can Do to Help Us Capture the Magic (Without Adding More to Your Plate)
By the time your wedding day arrives, the last thing you should be thinking about is logistics. You deserve to be fully present—soaking in each moment, big and small. That’s why a little bit of thoughtful prep on the front end makes a world of difference when it comes to capturing your story on film.
Here’s a super simple, totally doable checklist to help you feel ready—and help us create the most beautiful version of your wedding day memories.
Share Your Full Timeline With Us (And Any Updates)
Having a clear sense of your day’s flow helps us plan how to cover each moment without rushing or missing anything. If your timeline shifts (because they always do), just keep us in the loop. We’ll roll with it—but knowing ahead of time helps us pivot smoothly.
Tell Us About Any Unique Cultural or Family Traditions
Whether it’s a family blessing, a specific dance, or a symbolic ritual, we want to honor and preserve these moments beautifully. Give us a heads-up so we know when and where to be—and what to prioritize in the final film.
Confirm Ceremony Audio With Your Officiant
We’ll bring the mics and handle the tech, but letting your officiant know ahead of time that we’ll be miking them helps everything run more smoothly. A short convo in advance ensures we capture clean, clear vows and every word of that beautifully personal ceremony.
Designate a Point of Contact for the Day
We’ll have our plan, but sometimes we have quick questions: "Where’s the letter she wrote?" or "Is the first look still happening at 3?" Having someone—like your planner, maid of honor, or sibling—who knows the plan and can give us quick answers keeps things stress-free for you.
Pick a Few Songs You Love
Music plays a big role in how your wedding film feels. If there are songs that speak to your love story or just make you emotional in the best way, send them over! We’ll use them as inspiration during the edit.
Share Any Must-Capture Moments
We do our best to anticipate the meaningful stuff—but if there’s a surprise letter reading, a first touch, a special guest you want filmed, or a look you’ve dreamed of capturing, tell us. We want to know what’s important to you.
Let Us Know About Surprises (So We’re Ready to Catch Them)
Planning a surprise dance? Giving your partner a gift before the ceremony? Have a surprise musical performance during dinner? Please tell us. We promise not to spoil the surprise—but being prepared means we’ll have the right camera, mic, or angle in place to catch it as it happens.
Here’s the Bottom Line
You don’t have to script your day—we’re there to capture it as it unfolds. We discuss all of these details on your final details call. You can rest assured that we will discuss all the details. We’re in your corner, quietly documenting it all so you can relive the magic for years to come.
